Cody F. Fox founded The Law Office of Cody F. Fox in 2019 after years in private practice. Mr. Fox’s purpose is simple: provide high quality legal representation tailored to the needs of his clients. Mr. Fox focuses his practice on criminal defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, family law, and general civil litigation. He is also a certified Rule 31 family law mediator with a certification in domestic violence. Prior to founding The Law Office of Cody F. Fox, Mr. Fox represented businesses and individuals in a variety of matters including criminal defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, business formation, contract disputes, and probate. He has also represented self-insured companies, insurers, and other businesses in workers’ compensation matters in Virginia and Tennessee and defended clients against occupational disease claims brought before the United States Department of Labor. Mr. Fox is dedicated to zealously advocating on behalf of his clients and creating long-lasting relationships to ensure that his clients’ current and future legal needs are properly addressed and quickly resolved.
Mr. Fox grew up in Greeneville, Tennessee where he graduated valedictorian from West Greene High School. He received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Tennessee where he majored in history. Mr. Fox then attended the University of Tennessee College of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor with a concentration in advocacy and dispute resolution. While at Tennessee, Mr. Fox was involved in numerous organizations and associations. He was also a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. During law school, he clerked for multiple private practice firms, the District Attorney General’s Office for the First Judicial District of Tennessee, and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Mr. Fox was also a student attorney with the UT legal clinic and recognized by the Tennessee Supreme Court as a Law Student for Justice.
Mr. Fox is an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and enjoys being outdoors, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Knoxville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
